For those who do not know me personally, I was a Trustee in Greenfield Village for 6 years (4 of them as President) before being asked to serve on the Planning Commission. While serving on the Commission, I was asked to replace the retiring Jane Durrell (at her recommendation) for the remainder of her term on City Council.

I sit on many different committees within Chesterfield from Historic, to Finance, to Parks & Public Works and Economic Development. I have served the residents of Chesterfield for almost 8 years in various positions and believe I have the experience and drive to continue to do a good job for our Ward and the City.

Each decision I make in these capacities is held to a personal standard of what will keep our property values the highest and improve our quality of life and service. 

I truly enjoy giving my time for Chesterfield. giving back to the neighborhoods where I grew up. It's a great place to live.

My opponent has never served as a Trustee or in any volunteer capacity for our City. He believes his experience in  commercial real estate makes him a good candidate. He might be a nice guy, but neither of these qualities qualifies him for this position. 

Personally, as a resident of Ward I who strongly supports keeping Olive Blvd. the way it is now, I am very concerned about his connections to commercial development and his message of "Controlled Growth". In order for Ward I to be effectively  represented, we need a proven, experienced leader and an active participant who is well versed in our governmental process - not one saddled with conflicts of interest. I have that experience necessary and will continue to actively represent your interests and those of my fellow residents in Ward I.  
 I respectfully ask for your vote on April 7th so that I may continue working for you.

About Gene Schenberg

Gene & Susan have been married for 11 years and have one son, Alex. They both attended Parkway Central High School and Gene graduated from Mizzou and has worked in the consumer electronics industry for over 25 years. In addition to his service on City Council and its related committees, Gene is Alex’s Cubmaster and Susan is his Den Leader in Pack 782. She also, serves on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of St. Louis. Alex is a Bear Cub Scout and working towards his third degree Black belt at World Martial Arts Academy here in Ward I.
