The Music Ministry

The Music Ministry is a vital part of the First Pentecostal Church. The Music Ministry is lead by our Music Director, Shirleen Carter.

We seek God's anointing, and His unity among us as we strive to be willing vessels He can use.

Our desire is that through our Music Ministry hearts will be uplifted and open to receive the preached Word of God.

Our ministry strives to develop programs of musical excellence which clearly communicates the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need.


The Music Department is more than just singers and musicians. We thank the following people for all their hard work behind the scenes that help to provide us with the excellent level of performances we see and hear each service:

  • Choir Director

    • Stacy Bookerd is our choir director. The First Pentecostal Adult Choir is a relatively new ministry at our church. In the original sanctuary there was no room for a choir on the platform. In our new sanctuary, special choir seating was built into the rear of the platform. The uplifted voices of our new choir is a real blessing and a much welcomed addition to our worship services at First Pentecostal.



  • Signing Choir

    • This powerful ministry interprets modern Christian contemporary songs into sign language.  Besides hearing the words of the song, the audience also sees the words acted out in the beautifully expressive medium of the sign language of the deaf.  The signers from our Youth Group, lead by Allison Lefrere, are involved in local community events as well as performing at First Pentecostal.
