My name is Russ Sauer and I've been involved in shooting for well over 20 years now. It all started the day my grandfather taught me how to shoot with his old lever action 22. Over time I added skeet shooting, hunting, and competitive marksmanship to my list of shooting addictions. I have competed at the regional and national levels in both small bore and centerfire matches including 3 consecutive years at the National Rifle Matches where I competed at distances out to 1,000 yards.

In my early twenties I joined the U.S. Army and proudly served as a member of the Ordnance Corps for eight years before leaving with an honorable discharge. As a husband, father of two, and breadwinner, I found that I no longer had the time or resources to compete or enjoy a day at the range. It was because of this that I re-examined the world of airguns with the help of my Benjamin Blue Streak that I've owned since my teens.

Eventually I purchased an inexpensive Chinese made spring airgun which despite being crude, allowed me to shoot without having to pump it between shots. Being mechanically inclined and curious to a fault, I eventually tore down that little rifle and figured out what made it tick. From there it all went downhill. I now own more airguns than I can keep track of and shoot an average of 150 pellets per week. I am probably a better marksman now than I ever was during my competitive years due to my ability to shoot any time I want within the comfort of my own home.

I use my airguns for target shooting, plinking, hunting, pest control, and it's a good way to meet new friends. My oldest daughter Aimee is an accomplished marksman as well and accompanies me on many of my hunts in addition to the usual back yard range shooting. Shooting has given her better self control, self esteem, and is a great way to bond.

As time permits, I will add links to my other hobbies. Perhaps you will become addicted to many of them as I have.
