Henry French Current

Henry French Current, the son of Martin Current and Polly McLaughlin, was born 1818 in Virginia.  He married Mathersa Wilson, August 10, 1839 in Vermillion County, Indiana.  She was born 1819 in Kentucky.

Children born to Henry French Current and Mathersa Wilson are:

Occupation: Wagon Maker, Farmer
Burial: Denton County, Texas

In the 1850 census Henry Current is found in Pulaski Co., Missouri and his occupation is listed as Wagon Maker.  His wife is listed as Mathersa, age 31.  In the 1860 census Henry is found at Stuart Creek, Denton County, Texas and occupation is listed as farmer, Mathersa is missing from this census, but in her place is Caroline, age 19.  It is not clear whether Caroline is a daughter or a 2nd wife.  (The Denton County Court House burned in 1874 with all records.  No marriages this early survived.)

Henry is listed as the father of Levi M. Current on Levi's death certificate.  The birthplace of Henry is listed as Missouri. 

Henry French Current is probably buried in Denton County, Texas.
