Lewis Porter McDonald (son of
William Thomas McDonald
and Mary Ellen Hamm) was born March 3, 1860 in Corenth, Mississippi and died
December 15, 1932 in Peacock, Texas. He married
Lizabeth Amanda Rogers in
1892 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Lizabeth Amanda Rogers was the daughter or
George Rogers and Julie King. Lizabeth was born December 5, 1872 in
Lincoln Parish, Louisiana and died December 26, 1953 in Weatherford, Texas.

Additional Notes:
Lewis Porter and Lizabeth married in Ardmore, Oklahoma in
1892. They lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1897. Lela McDonald
died in Bartlesville from spinal meningitis about 1897 at the age of 2 or 3 years. Lewis Porter
and Lizabeth were living around Ardmore in 1900 when Robert Bryan was born and were in Koff, Oklahoma
in 1906 when Eva Alice was born. They moved to Texas in 1910/1911
to Wood County, Texas.
They were living in Weatherford, Texas in 1920.
Lewis Porter and Lizabeth moved to Peacock, Texas in 1925. Lewis Porter died from
influenza in Peacock, Texas December 15, 1932. Lizabeth came to Arkansas to
live with Robert Bryan McDonald and his wife
Etta Lee Henderson McDonald about
1933/1934 and lived with them the rest of her life.
Lewis Porter McDonald is buried at Double Mt., Peacock,
Texas. Lizabeth Amanda Rogers McDonald died December 26, 1953 in
Weatherford, Texas and is buried in the family cemetery "Curtis Cemetery" in
Weatherford, Texas.
