Douglas Curtis Current

Douglas Curtis Current "Pete" (son of John Curtis Current and Annie Jensen) was born October 1, 1923 in Petrolia, Texas and died April 5, 2000 in Weatherford, Texas.  He married Irene M. Simpson, November 8, 1947.  She was born in Kansas and died in Concord, California at age 51.  She is buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California.  Pete died due to heart disease and complications related to his heart.

Weatherford -- Douglas Curtis Current, 76, a retired oil company employee, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2 pm Saturday at Cotten-Bratton Chapel.  Burial:  Curtis Cemetery in Weatherford.  Visitation:  6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funderal home.

Douglas Curtis current was born October 1, 1923, in Petrolia, Texas.  He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the Pacific.

Survivors:  Brothers, John Curtis Current, Jr. and Melvin Current; and sisters, Barbara Benfer, Betty Ann Searcy and Mary Lou McDonald
