Wilbourn J. Bryan

Wilbourn J. Bryan, son of Reddin Bryan and Nancy Jane Bryant, was born July 7, 1849 in Union Parish, Louisiana, and died April 4, 1896 in Spearsville, Louisiana.  He married (1) Elizabeth Ruston (Rustian), daughter of Henry Ruston and Serepta, on December 19, 1876 in Ashley County, Arkansas.  She was born 1849 in Mississippi and died 1879 in Fountain Hill, Arkansas.  He married (2) Sarah Elizabeth Gatherite November 11, 1881 in Union Parish, Louisiana.  She was born July 23, 1861 and died July 27, 1919.

Notes for Wilbourn Bryan:
M. C. Bryan must be related in some way.  He appears multiple times in the A.D. Henderson land abstract.

Notes for Elizabeth Ruston (Rustian):
Elizabeth and her sister, Sarrah were both found on the Mississippi 1870 census.  Elizabeth was one-fourth Indian.  Her mother has half Indian.

Burial:  Spearsville Cemetery, Union Parish, Louisiana

Marriage Notes for Wilbourn Bryan and Sarah Gatherite:
Marriage license required a $100 bond.  Bond was placed with Wilbourn J. Bryan and James R. Bryant.  Witnesses on the marriage license are:  J. M. Risinger, B. F. Slater, William Hunt (Minister of the Gospel).
