Trivia Weekend generally isn't about knowing the answers. It's about knowing how to find the answers. There are very few questions that people will actually know the answer to. And if you're not good at finding answers we also need people to call in the answers or keep track of our score on a spreadsheet.
Do I have to stay awake the entire 50 hours?
No, I only know of two people that have done this. It is not necessary. You don't even have to commit to the whole weekend. If you want to play, we'll welcome any time that you can spare.
What do you win?
The top three teams get a trophy and a box full of gift certificates, T-Shirts, etc. The winning team also gets their team name engraved on the travelling urn. But it's not about winning for us. We know we don't have the resources that some of the top teams have. For us it is just about having fun.
I can't make it to St Cloud that weekend, can I still play?
Of course you can. All you need is Internet access. KVSC broadcasts over the Internet and we have an instant messenger program set up to communicate with team members that are unable to come to HQ for the weekend. In fact, some teams are even based in locations outside of Central Minnesota.
