The Hago external mix snowgun, a slightly complex design, with unique operating properties, allowing for economical operation, and ease of use.
The idea of the HAGO nozzle seemed an obvious choice, after working with them for their real intended purpose, I discovered they were excellent misting nozzles, and have used them as external misters on low pressure TGUNs, however the results were not as good.
It was when I discovered that high pressure is the key.
500psi to be exact, and in some cases as high as 1000psi.
The small droplets created by the HAGO make it an great choice as a Nucleation nozzle.
The internal turbine in the nozzle causes a swirling action, which may also be an advantage.
Air requirements are somewhat less than other designs, and may be more beneficial to those with smaller compressors.
4-6cfm at 40psi is typical for use.
This should allow some compressors break time, where 100 percent run time may overheat some 50/50 duty compressors.
