TrailManor 2619

We spent many weeks of researching before we decided to purchase the TrailManor. There were many factors to consider in owning an RV but the ability to store a fully self-contained RV in a standard two car garage was the one we liked. This RV cost more than some conventional travel trailers but for us the features it offered was worth it. The Hi-Low was another worthy contender but was heavier and offered less room with it's smallest equivalent model.

The TrailManor RV has been around about 20 years but is not very well known. The manufacturer is small and each TrailManor is hand made from the frame to the interior cabinets. We always get questions about it from other travelers and campers. In fact on one time we had 12 people converge on us to watch as we were closing it up. After 7000 miles of towing in the last two years, our fuel economy averages 14 - 16 mpg on level highways with either our 2000 Chevrolet Blazer (with an add on towing package) or our 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer (with the medium duty factory towing package). One just can not compare this RV to a "popup" camper. It only tows and stores like one.

RV trips are less expensive than flying, driving a car, taking a train or bus, staying in a hotel, or taking a cruise. This low-profile and light weight Trailmanor only drops your MPG by only a few gallons, unlike conventional travel trailers that usually cut your MPG in half.

RVing remains the least expensive mode of travel, even when fuel prices increase and ofcourse we like the complete freedom to stop as you please and have more fun.

Our Opinions

Good

Not Good

This is our first RV after years of conversion van traveling and tent camping. Overall we are very happy with it. (For Reference: Their website is http://www.trailmanor.com). Someday we may upgrade to a larger RV but with meeting everything we wanted for now, (light weight, gararge storage and fully self contained) anything else would have been too much of a compromise.
