Karen wears many hats! The founder of a local children's theatre and producer of an educational TV series ("The Folk Book"), she has a background which includes 17 years as a children's librarian and four as a professional storyteller.

Karen uses a dramatic style, incorporating music, ethnic artifacts, puppets, and audience participation — both as a group and as characters in her stories — to share tales from many cultures.
