WILLIAM F. O’CONNOR SHANACHIE AWARD
The William F. O’Connor Shanachie Award is given annually to one high school senior
from
Criteria
·
Be a graduating senior of one of the following
High Schools:
· Have worked to his/her full potential during his/her high school years by making the best use of the abilities that he/she possesses
· Displays a good sense of humor and a knack for story-telling
Application Procedure
1. Students may pick up an application in their Guidance Office and must complete it in full
2. The application must be accompanied by appropriate documentation to support the criteria established for this award
3. Completed applications and accompanying documentation may be submitted through your Guidance Department or by mailing to:

4. All Applications must be submitted with accompanying material NO LATER THAN THE FIRST FRIDAY OF FEBRUARY OF THE AWARD YEAR. This is a firm deadline.

This award carries with it a $1000 check to the student and the following recognition: the winner is presented the award at the
annual St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast; newspaper coverage includes a photograph
and an article about the winner; and the winner is invited to be a part of the
