My Pit Area .

You can't see it from this angle , but the other guy was in a Dart , probably around a 68 , with a highly modified Slant 6 . I finally caught and passed him ,but it had me sweatin' there for a second !

Here I am in my best run of the weekend and also best 1/4 mile ET to date !! How appropriate to do it at the Mopar Nationals !!
The other guy was in an early A-Body , I think a 65 Dart . I was extremely happy since it was my best time ever , but it also knocked me out because I dialed a 14.93 and ran a 14.79 . Oh well , I was happy !
Strangely enough , this was not my best 60' time , 1/8 ET or MPH , or 1/4 mile MPH , but hey , it was fast .

I found this amusing . Mopar Performance was there of course , and they brought this '99 Dakota R/T Regular Cab out for an exhibition run to mainly hype all of their products . They were talking on the PA about how bad this truck was and how it had this and that and all of the Mopar Performance "goodies" . So what did it run ? How about a 15.88 on Saturday and a 15.44 on Sunday ! I almost laughed my balls off ! My 98 Dakota R/T *CLUB CAB* with none of the Mopar Performance "goodies" runs upper 14s now !!

This guy was a bad mamma-jamma ! He was running  in "King Of Street" which meant that the car could be as fast as he could make it , but it had to be street legal . Also , there were no dial-ins such as in bracket racing in general , so it basically means the guy with the most balls , and cash , wins ! This guy yanked the front wheels so far off the ground the previous day that he almost had the back bumper hitting the pavement ! I believe he was running low 8 second passes , but I can't remember .
