CHURCH RELATIONS:
Encourages churches of all sizes to experience profound blessings by putting their faith into action by building homes in partnership with their brothers and sisters in need.
FAMILY SELECTION:
Designs the selection criteria and application; distributes and screens applications; interviews prospective families; compiles investigative checks and recommends families to the Board for approval for home-ownership.
FAMILY SERVICES:
Provides support and nurture for the selected families; helps guide the families into their new world of home-ownership; provides resource information to improve their life skills; individual nurturers act as a liaison for the families and Habitat for Humanity; and monitors the 500 "sweat equity" hours of the home-owners.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Presents the message of Habitat to the community by challenging churches, community organizations and individuals with practical ways of becoming an active partner with the local affiliate.
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT:
Seeks to engage the public in fund raising that communicates the need for money and resources for homes.
SITE SELECTION:
Targets the area of community in which the Habitat ministry will develop; checks availability of individual lots and recommends property for acquisition to the Board
