When does school begin and end each day?

The first bell rings at 8:15 A.M. each day and school begins promptly at 8:30 A.M. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, students are dismissed at 3:10 P.M. Wednesday is early release day, and students are released at 2:20 P.M.


Which grade levels are included at Holy Family School?

Holy Family has a 3 year and 4 year old pre-kindergarten program, a morning kindergarten, and a full day kindergarten.. The 3PK program ends at 11:00, 4K and AM Kindergarten at 11:30. Our elementary grades include 1st through 8th grades.


Is Holy Family School accredited?

We are accredited by the Wisconsin Religious & Independent Schools Association as well as the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.


Is bus service available?

Limited bus service is available in some areas. Parents need to make arrangements with the local bus company.


What is the curriculum?

Holy Family uses the state academic standards as a guide for developing our grade by grade level curriculum. Our curriculum includes reading, math, science, social studies, English, art, music, physical education, computers, Spanish and religion, which is integrated into all of our subject areas. Our Spanish program begins in 1st grade. We also have a fully stocked library in school.


Does Holy Family School have a dress code?

Students in grades one through eight are allowed to wear jeans only on Friday and other designated days. A complete dress code description can be obtained from the school's office.


What extracurricular activities are offered?

H.F.S. offers athletics, community service projects, choirs, student council and math club. Check out the extracurricular link for more details.


What is your lunch program like?

A home-style lunch is made right in the school's kitchen from Monday through Thursday. Pizza, nachos, and healthy snacks are offered on Friday. Check out the lunch menu link. Children may also bring their lunches. 


How is the school an example of the Catholic faith?

Prayer is an important part of each day. The student body attends Mass each Wednesday at 9:10 and students take part in the service. The middle school students attend a special Mass each month which is geared to their age level. Each class participates, twice a year, in a prayer service on the first Friday of the month. Seasons of the church year and special feast days are celebrated and incorporated into the curriculum.


Is technology integrated into the school's curriculum? 

Holy Family has two PC labs with internet access. The school is networked, and each classroom has Internet service which allows teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms regularly. A variety of software that correlates with curricular areas is available.

Assistance is offered by two sources - HFS Tuition Assistance Fund and St. Vincent de Paul. Paperwork must be completed.
