Message from Pastor Mary Gustafson
Unless the Lord builds the house, their labor is in vain who build it. [Psalm 127:1]
In December, 2005 The Rt. Rev. Gordon Scruton, our Diocesan Bishop, helped us celebrate the 100th anniversary of our organization as a parish in the Diocese of Wesern Massachusetts. It seems fitting that our parish family has always been a pilgrim community. Our current parish building was not purchased until 1921. We were drawn to this "House of the Lord" from the communities of Southbridge, Sturbridge, Charlton, Fiskdale, Brimfield, Holland, the Brookfields and Woodstock, CT. Week by week, these pilgrim people of God gather in God's House for worship and education, to hear the proclamation of the Good News, and to share in the Sacrament of Jesus' Body and Blood.
Then, as missionary pilgrims, we are sent into our communities "to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ". At Holy Trinity Church, God is blessing us to be a blessing to our communities and the world in the twenty-first century.
"Go in peace to love and serve the Lord."
