
1) Smash down barbs on the shank of the hook and slide cone head on hook.
2) Place hook in vice and attach thread, lay down a good thread base while wrapping thread to a point just above the the point.
3) Tie in the wooly bugger marabou, tail should be somewhat full.
4) Attach a strip of croscut rabbit hide side down.
5) Coat the remaining shank with head cement to help secure the rabbit strip then begin wrapping the strip around the hook.
6) The first one or two wraps should envelope the marabou, slightly overlap the remaining wraps, tucking the rabbit strip in tightly behind the cone head at the front of the fly.
7) Finish the head by working half hitches in behind the cone head, try not to leave a gap between the base of the head an d the rabbit (hair should touch and flair out from behind the head for a neater appearance).
