Bio
Goshiri first travelled outside of Crablands as a bodyguard to Yasuki Nokatsu, and then served as the leader of the "Hand of the Hare" for two years. After the Fox-Hare war ended, Goshiri could have stayed with the Hare but choose to enter the emerald magistrate's service in Ryoko Owari. There his services were routinely loaned to the Jade Inquisitor, Asako Moharu, because of his experience in the Shadowlands. He left imperial service voluntarily when his term expired (soon after Kohashi's death) to return to his homeland. There, he fought in battle against the Oni no Jigabachi, which slew his father. In the aftermath, he aided his family, but returned to imperial service on the Kawa no Kin.

Family
Goshiri is descended from Hida Banuken, the crab general who won the Battle of the Cresting Wave and is responsible for the construction of the Carpenter Wall. Although his father Oshirin is dead, his mother Nokohime, older brother Garun, sisters Ajiko and Noki, younger brother Noshiro, and cousin Mugami are all still living. Hida Ajiko is married to Toritaka Dokurin, lord of Nigatani village in Falcon lands. Hida Garun is now the leader of the family.

Daimyo
Goshiri's daimyo is Hida Shiroi, a powerful lord who guards the wall near Face of the East Castle. Shiroi's immediate overlord in Hida Kisada, the Crab clan daimyo.

Feats
Goshiri once slew an Ogre in one-on-one combat.

Relations between Goshiri and Nokatsu are cordial on the surface but tense.
