Bio
Hokido was sent by his crippled father into the service of Shinjo Shoji, where Hokido flourished. Quickly gaining the favor of the Otaku and Shugenja around Shoji, Hokido became the preferred Yojimbo of Shinjo Akito. Eventually, he travelled with her to Ryoko Owari and saved her life from various assassins. He seeks to punish these evildoers. He also has aided his father's friend, Toritaka Dokurin and done service on his father's behalf in Falcon lands. He has become especially known in Badger lands (+2 boxes glory) for his aiding the Badger clan with Mirumoto Tsuntake. He now is second in command in his lord's vanguard, reporting to his sueprior, Shinjo Kojin.

Family
Shinjo Hokido was born into an honorable but humble samurai family named Harokira in service to lord, Shinjo Sebu. Hokido was the second son and the third child of his parents. Hokido has cordial but aloof relations from his blood relatives. The Travelling Court of Shoji has become, in effect, his family.

Daimyo
Shinjo Shoji is a powerful Unicorn lord (Status 7), one of the major vassals of the clan daimyo and an important political player in the Unicorn court. Shoji values Hokido's service greatly and his discretion most of all, entrusting him with duties that even experienced samurai have not been given.

Feats
Hokido has slain a Dark Moto and also defeated large groups of bandits.
