(Apotheosis.)

Winging upon the thermals, I bask in the hot sunlight
Her caress, gentle and undemanding warmth
And I pirouette to face Her, far above the cement earth
Drawing nearer, pleading, consumed by grace, and blind

Through white ribbon clouds and blue sea, upwards I streak
As all I am peels away, this night creature shedding her skin
Feathers falling, burnt crisp, blood arcing from within
Trailing gold, a radiance throbbing outwards as my heartbeat

Now light as well, radiant and immutable, a burning star
Astride upon the wheel of night and embraced by blazing day
Hurtling onwards through time, the clockwork of Creation
I am with Her, soaring, and no longer merely human

Turn away, my love, do not look into these blazing eyes.

Go back to Rhyme, no reason.
