Banderas Bay Cruise - Puerto Vallarta
What's a honeymoon without a tropical cruise? Banderas Bay cruises are a part of Puerto Vallarta that you can not miss. Mainly because the street vendors will have you signed up faster than you can say "Que?". But we arrainged to get on a cruise of Banderas Bay at the La Jolla de Mismaloya. We almost missed out because we stayed in town a little to late the night before. Here is an important tip when staying at a resort: Make your activity reservations early!! Like two days prior!! But we got tickets to board the Kontiki, a tri-hulled catameran that was harbored in Marina Vallarta.
There were several honeymooning couples on our cruise. About a five hour sailing around the bay, dinner was served right on the boat.
As it turned out, getting on the Kontiki was perfect! As a smaller boat we got to know the other tourist and the crew (the captain, cruise director Ricardo, the chef, and the bartender).
After partying the best way to sober up is to go for a swim!
But be sure to wait for the captain to stop the boat first!
The Kontiki made a pass by Los Arcos - where we had paddled the kayak out to the day before. It stopped so we could do some snorkeling around the monuments. the water was too rough to see any fish though.
My diving coach said I was making progress! This turned into a pretty good forward flip. The picture below is of a resturant called The Cliffs - I don't know why.

The Kontiki gang!
