La Jolla de Mismaloya- Puerto Vallarta
When we were planning this honeymoon trip to Mexico we talked to a lot of people about where to stay in Puerto Vallarta. Some said stay downtown, near all the shopping and nightlife, others recommended staying out in the country, to experience "old Mexico". Well, the La Jolla de Mismaloya had the best of both worlds. Outside of town, but a city within itself, the accomodations are world-class, the food great, and lot's of entertainment and activities right from the hotel beach!
From the hotel beach area there is a paved trail to the set of the movie "The Night of the Iguana", which is now a resturant. made the mistake of climbing the stairs too fast and almost passed out!
The hotel is built in a Spanish-colonial style, with many arches and patios. Flowers hang out of every nook and cranny of the place.
The pool area is huge, with 5 pools, waterfalls, and my favorite, a pool bar!
Lookin good, babe!
Enjoying dinner on the beach for 'Jamaica Celebration' night. All the tequila and seafood you can stand.
This is what happens when you leave your wife unattended for five minutes!
I had to include picures of our room because it was huge! Marble floors and a patio that looked over the pools and a view of Banderas Bay.
