Best Pratices in Growing Perennials

March 25, 2008

7:00 p.m.

Hostess: Karen M.

Co-Hostess: Amy T.

Perennials are grown by almost everyone, but not as successfully as we might wish!
Ever wonder why some people cut their irises into little fans after blooming? Or braid the fading leaves of their daffodils? And why didn't my peony bloom this year? My butterfly bush was lovely last year, but it didn't come back! Why did my mums bloom in August and my neighbor's bloom in October?
Which perennials are easiest to grow in our northern climate? And what are the best horticultural practices to keep them coming back year after year? What are the recommended practices to keep our new perennials garden blooming all summer ? Come to this presentation and learn what experts have to say - your peony may yet bloom again!
