About Stormgate Communications, LLC

Stormgate Communications is a small company whose goal is to produce easy to use, high quality software for the Palm Computing Device family.

We have products for the general Palm user (BlueMoon, AvCheck), and the aviation arena (AvLogbook, AvCheck).

Our software was sold commercially for many years on sites such as Palmgear and Handango. Like many Palm software companies, Stormgate Communications is a part-time venture (i.e. we have other, full-time "day jobs" as well). In late 2003 we went on hiatus for several reasons involving both the demands of the aforementioned day jobs as well as personal lives.

In late 2004 the decision was made to accept the fact that serious development and support of our Palm products was at an end.
The Palm market had matured to the point where producing a serious commercial product required much commitment than was possible for us at this juncture.

Rather than eliminate our products altogether, we decided to move to the Donationware model. This model has really been made feasible in recent years by the development of companies which allow small donations to be accepted.

We would again like to thank all of the customers who have supported us in the past (and in the future!).
