TiVo Tips and Hints

Most or all of these may be in the manual, but they bear repeating, especially for those who start playing with a new toy before reading the manual!

Frame Forward and Backward

If you are paused, the fwd and back buttons will do frame forward and backwards.

Resume where you left off

If a recorded show is playing when you return to the TiVo menus, it will start over form the beginning if you play it again. If it is PAUSED, when you return t the menus, it will resume playing from that point when if you return to it later.

Navigation Shortcuts From The Main Screen

The number buttons on the remote allow you to quickly "jump" to some of the more common screens without navigating through the menus. Once you are familiar with TiVo, these can save you a lot of time!
Note: As far as I know, these are not documented by TiVo, and may change or stop working in subsequent software releases!
