Sorry. I have been ill (heart problem). I have not been able to put up
postings prior to
Christmas and the new year is already here. Anyway, I have been keeping
up with most of the Tori news despite my condition. I have the new
official lyrics to "Siren" from
Mike Why's page.
Additionally, I have been told from a Tori fan that "Abbey Road"
and "Omla Booleigh" were songs that Tori wrote. These sound like
renditions rather than Tori creations. If anyone can give me reference for
where I can get verification for these songs, I would appreciate it.
Happy New Year Dew Drops.
December 12, 1997
Added Renditions for Neil Young's Ohio and
Dennis Lambert One Tin Soldier. Added new songs in the
index for the
Great Expectations soundtrack coming out,
Paradiso Perduto and Finn, instead of Finn (intro).
December 4, 1997
I was listening to Talula and I noticed
that I have a slight typo for the remix intro. It is "waiting, calmly"
and not "waiting, coming". Bad mistake. Do not know how I could
of missed it. :)
Also, on the net, I noticed from Mike Why's
page that Finn (Intro) has some wordless vocalizations of Tori, but I
need to know if Tori wrote the song. If not, this will be excluded.
November 24, 1997
Well, this is only a working title, but apparently there is another song
named Playboy Mama due out for the
"Great Expectations" soundtrack. You can check this
out at Mike Why's
page.
November 21, 1997
Added Patrick Doyle as co-writer to Siren.
Evidently, Tori did not write this one by herself.
November 6, 1997
Well, I have not compiled any new information related to Tori or Neil for
the page, but stay tuned because I should have some very soon. My lame
excuses are that my work is overloading my time again and I have busy making
CD's with a borrowed CDR for all my floppies and other odds-and-ends stuck
on my computer.
On a different issue, I have a new link added to my links section for
a watercolour stain. In fact, their
feature
page has a link to my page. So, stop by the page and take a browse around.
I thought the page was well done.
Okay. Everyone has gone to
Mike's page
and tried their chance on deciphering the lyrics to
Siren. I gave it a try myself, but I
approached it a little different. I TRIED to have the lyrics make sense.
I admit that Tori slurs her words a bit and it is a bit difficult to
understand what she is saying, but I took my best shot at it and came up
with my own version.
Take a look at my transcription of
Siren and grab the sample from
Mike's page
and tell me if I am close.
October 15, 1997
Wet your appetite. I found on
Mike Why's page
that Siren is supposively one of the new songs on the upcoming
movie Great Expectations. Though there is no absolute confirmation,
I have added the song to the listing.
You will notice that I am currently placing all songs that are speculative in
red until absolute confirmation is found.
October 11, 1997
I guess I am like Tori (ever changing). Hope everyone likes the new Logo and
wallpaper. I must admit that this page has taken on a darker side which is
not like most Tori pages.
The page should now be more "readable" with a darker color behind
the text. I have yet to begin modifying the lyrics' wallpaper.
Cleaned up the appearance of the
Interpretations section
and added information regarding Marianne's
purple monkey. Added a brief answer to where Tori writes most of her
lyrics in theBrief Biography section.
Additionally,
I have been cleaning up my lyrics page for
Sarah McLachlan. So check it out. I
fashioned the layout the same way as this page.
October 2, 1997
Added more information on the Sandman in the
Neil Gaiman section, Sandman, Death: the
time of your life, Stardust, and some "Over-the-hill
references". Additionally, I have a VERY brief description of the
Endless excerpted and paraphrased from Sandman: Seasons of Mist.
Page still requires more Neil Gaiman references.
September 27, 1997
Updated image for Little Earthquakes album. I added Sandman
references to
Horses and
Tear In Your Hand. I also found that
I left out the song about Delirium's
Sister Named Desire as a
reference to Neil Gaiman.
I have been looking at
articles that reference Tori's friend Rantz and I believe that I did not
have a misspelling. I believe the spelling is Rantz and not Ranz. I think
I need to look into this some more. I got the correction information from
Mike Why's page, but I am not so sure about the correction.
Well, apparently Mike
Why says that the album is due out around Spring 1998. I think I got my
wires crossed when I got this info.
September 18, 1997
Yeah, whine, whine. What can I do. I have been busy with work again.
Hopefully I will have more time to work on my page. Okay, here we go.
I have fixed pages that refer to Rantz (corrected to Ranz) and Beenie
(corrected to Beene). Needlesstosay, there was only one lyrics page,
Father Lucifer.
Comment on Asherah, for
Muhammad My Friend.
I also made a listing reference of the song that have
Neil Gaiman referenced (shortly I will add more
information related to Sandman, since I read the entire comic series
when it came out).
I have been keeping up with the new movie coming out,
Great Expectations. Tori has written 3 (I believe) songs for the
movie, but we will have to see how many they will use. When I get
a hold of the new songs, I will definitely add them into the
lyrics page.
There is also much gossip about Tori's new album that is expected out
in 1998. Many are saying that it will be the beginning of 1998 and some
say the end of 1998. I have been getting a pretty concrete response of
the Fall of 1998 (as vague as that may be).
August 30, 1997
I think I am done on the new layout. I have redone the entire presentation
of all the lyrics. I made the lyric pages more centralized to the lyrics
and not the pictures I had associated with each lyric. So, check it out.
On other updates, I added some Biography
information.
August 26, 1997
No. Don't Say it. I know, I changed the page again. I just thought that
it needed more work. I will let everyone know when I have things the way
I want it. In the meantime enjoy the ever changing feel of my page.
If you have a problem with accessing information or have problems reading
information don't hesitate to E-mail me. I will try my best to remedy the
situation.
Oh, I added the rendition of Sargasso Sea by Salt Tank in my rendition
section. I am sure that you can guess that I got that from
Mike Why's page.
August 24, 1997
Been a bit busy with my job, project ya know. Anyhow, I have completed
listening through the rest of my collection of songs. Anyway, on the songs
from L-Z, I found background lyrics to
Not The Red Baron
(old new if you have been to
Mike Why's page),
On The Boundary,
Space Dog (updated),
Take To The Sky
(update: Apparently I hear that there are 3 voices. Some people missed this
as I almost did.), and
You Go To My Head.
August 7, 1997
Thanks to Doug Smeath, I caught a typo in my
Frog On My Toe lyrics.
It's kind of hard for me to make sure that all these lyrics are correct.
Thanks Doug.
I have not finished my L-Z for background lyrics - work you
know. Anyway, I added the fact that Tori's Birthday is coming up.
Celebrate and be merry. Have a cupcake with a candle for her birthday.
August 1, 1997
Modified lyrics to Little Amsterdam. I am currently working on the
background lyrics. I am on -L-. Hopefully, I will finish to -Z- by the
end of this weekend.
July 27, 1997
What can I say. I spoofed up my page by creating a kicking background image.
July 24, 1997
Added background lyrics of Tear In Your Hand, hee-hee. I don't think
anyone noticed this from Little Earthquakes. Also, I changed the
way I highlight the background lyrics. Additionally, I recompiled all the
compilations in each section.
July 23, 1997
Added background lyrics of Flying Dutchman, Space Dog,
and an outtake version of Sweet Dreams. New pics associated with
Damage, Doughnut, For Mark, It's A Happy Day, and Twinkle. Did
some web-page cleanup while I was at it, especially the pages with background
lyrics.
July 19, 1997
Added Background Lyrics Section. I always had the lyrics for some of the
songs that had background lyrics, but I never made that obvious to the
surfers, so check it out. I gave all broken links to images and background
a temporary image until I can find a suitable image that goes along with each
lyric. Also, I added lyrics to Cooling.
July 17, 1997
Baker Baker interpretation added. Correction on China
interpretation and added song title More Than Just A Friend (but
no lyrics available) which I "somehow" left out.
July 5, 1997
Old news. I forgot to put, Gary's Girl lyrics.
May 8, 1997
Added lyrics to Till the Chicken & For Mark. Added Brief
biography section. Added
Interpretations section with 14 songs and interpretations of first 3 albums.
