My Work
I work for Hoelscher Engineering P.C. We are a Civil Engineering design firm. What are Civil Engineers? We design the stuff that is taken for granted such as roads, subdivisions, utility distribution systems, etc.
What do I do? Basically, I design subdivisions including the layout of the lots, roads, sanitary sewer systems, storm sewer systems (when it rains), water mains. Once the design is complete, I take over and deal with the municipalities, utility companies, and contractors. It is a fun and rewarding job. I enjoy watching a project go from a dream to a reality. The project could be a corn field that I (with help from my co-workers, obviously) then turn into a finished subdivision for families.
