The Sentra's Hybrid Center Console:
From this angle, you can see the NX2000 center console. The lid on the console
was broken, so I had to find a new one. A temporary fix was to use a lid from an old-school
200SX. This set-up was okay, but I missed the higher armrest that the stock armrest had provided.
I found a G20 at a junkyard, and I thought the armrest would fit in the Sentra - it did. The
G20's armrest needed to be recovered because the leather was cracked and worn. I used the old
leather as a template, and I cut a piece of black vinyl to fit. I have sense worked with Keepsake, and he is now
offering a replacement leather covering, as shown in the top pictures.
I am very happy with this set-up. It is the perfect height, I feel. The only drawback would be
that I've found it easier to raise the lid to buckle the seatbelt, and then lower the lid back down.
I think my seats look like a zebra pattern because I took these pictures on my cameras
lowest resolution. The are just the typical gray with blue accents.
Here is a picture of my Momo Raptor shift knob, and my leather shift boot available from Keepsake.
The shift boot fit great, and I love the feel. It is black leather with "titanium" stitching. I, also, shortened
the stock shifter. I moved the "ball" to create a shorter throw, and I cut some of the threads off at the top.
I got the idea from a fellow forum member on sr20deforum.com. The shifter is much improved.
