Juveniles Involved in the Juvenile Justice System
Abstract
Juvenile justice issues are close to everybody, with about 25% of the United States population being juveniles. When juveniles commit crimes, they become juvenile offenders. These juvenile offenders consist of a broad base of many different demographic and population characteristics. A major piece of the juvenile justice systems is the laws that govern it. These laws have a rich history, and are different within the United States, and then between nation states such as Canada and the US.
