Present Professor for Reservoir Engineering, Economic Analysis and Investment Decision Methods, Formation Evaluation, and Petrophysics courses. Reservoir characterization is incorporated into the Formation Evaluation course.

INDUSTRY WORK HISTORY

Consulting services for various oil and gas projects utilizing management, operation, acquisition and divestiture expertise.

April 2000 – Present

Consulting Petroleum Engineer
Assist clients with the evaluation of new drilling prospects and existing production including reserve estimates and cashflow analysis. Experienced at deposition and expert witness in arbitration and courtroom settings.

October 1999 – April 2000

Senior Vice-President – Production. Great Lakes Energy Partners,
L.L.C. Responsible for the corporate field operations situated in five states (OH, NY, MI, PA, WV). Charged with the managerial oversight of 200 employees operating over 7,700 wells and the drilling of 150-200 new wells annually. Duties included property evaluation, monitoring field performance, operating expenses, reserve reporting, active participation in the budgeting/forecasting process and Management Board presentations. Annual sales revenues approximate $100 million. On October 1, 1999 FirstEnergy Corporation contributed major assets of Marbel and formed Great Lakes Partners, L.L.C.

January 1999 – October 1999

President, Marbel Energy Corporation.
Responsible for achieving the financial performance and corporate objectives established by the Board of Directors of this fully integrated natural gas company. Companies owned by Marbel included MB Operating, the exploration and production arm, intrastate and interstate pipeline companies and a natural gas distribution company. Involvement was in all aspects of the various companies including strategic planning, property evaluation, budgeting, forecasting, engineering, operations, reserve analysis, personnel, public relations and legal matters.

June 1996 – January 1999

Chief Operating Officer, Marbel Energy Corporation.
Charged jointly with the Chief Executive Officer to direct the company on a day-to-day basis. Position reported directly to the President and Chairman of the Board. Responsible for all management decisions not requiring Board approval. Jointly responsible for the financial performance of a 150 employee company with annual sales in excess of $100 million. Primarily duties included managing the exploration and production division, coordinating field operations with the regulated divisions, expanding the natural gas customer base, legal matters and personnel. On June 6, 1998 Marbel Energy Corporation was aquired by FirstEnergy Corporation.

June 1996 - October 1999

President, MB Operating Co., Inc.Responsible for directing and coordinating the overall drilling, operations, engineering, geology, exploration and land activities. This producing arm of Marbel Energy consisted of 100 employees, 1,800 producing properties, 200,000 net acres and accounted for over 85% of Marbel’s total corporate value.

January 1988 - June 1996

Vice President of Operations, MB Operating Co., Inc.
Responsible for the overall field operations including the selection and development of a trained field staff, engineering and geologic support and land management functions. Other duties included environmental compliance, monitoring corporate litigation and working with various governmental agencies.

January 1984 – January 1988

Manager of Exploration and Development, MB Operating Co., Inc.
Duties included coordinating new well drilling and pipeline projects, monitoring existing field operations, evaluating potential acquisitions, estimating reserves on developed and undeveloped acreage, directing the land function and providing technical expertise in the areas of field completions, production problems and brine injection wells.

July 1983 – January 1984

Senior Petroleum Engineer, Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation
Responsible for directing and supervising the engineering staff in Ohio, West Virginia, and Southwestern Pennsylvania. Departmental duties included reserve analysis, economic evaluations, budgetary planning, secondary recovery, field completions and generating timely reports to assist management in the decision making process.


May 1981 – July 1983

Petroleum Engineer, Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation. Responsible for assisting the District Engineer in technical aspects of oil and gas property development. Primary responsibilities included reserve analysis, monitoring existing production and the expansion of secondary recovery projects. Other duties included supervising new well completion and general field engineering.

August 1979 – May 1981

Engineering Assistant, Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation. Researched and maintained numerous production records including
production decline curves while completing engineering degree at Marietta College.
