As a foreword, I'd like to say something that applies to way too many entries here: This is the ITG bracket, not the mandatory mines everywhere and ridiculously difficult heavy steps bracket. While hard charts are not out of place here, not EVERY song needs to be a 10's worth on heavy (double if it's not rated so) and mines are best not spammed. That said, let's get started. Axel F Song 11 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 Sounds fine. -Length and cut 3 / 5 The song is repetitive and cutting out four or eight measures would make it drone on a lot less. The stop in the middle is also utterly unnecessary. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 4 / 6 This song is very repetitive and very, very annoying. This is not the kind of thing I want to encourage. Graphics 11 / 15 -Background 6 / 8 --Includes song title / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 Ditto. -Banner 5 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Zero creativity here earns only basic effort points. Steps 42 / 60 -Light 11 / 15 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 6 / 10 The steps after the pause don't really fit. Then again, the whole pause chunk of the song doesn't really fit. Most of the other steps were consistent but unremarkable. -Standard 16 / 20 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 11 / 15 There's a few spots where it could use some smoothing out. The steps are pretty repetitive and I think a pattern without sixteenths (something like x0x0xxxxx0x0xxxx...) would be better. The mines are, for the most part, tastefully used. -Heavy / 25 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 Definitely pushing a 9, but not flagrant enough to remove a point. --Is it Fun? 10 / 20 > Around measure 9 I don't think the music warrants those jumps. > Measure 12 makes zero sense whatsoever. The first set of sixteenths in measure 16 doesn't either. 24 either. Basically any place with Crazy Frog itself is random and senseless. > Measures 25 to 27 are solid (but predictable), but 28 has the same mistakes as above. > Measures 42 to 50 are good, but again predictable. > The rest of the song just repeats all the faults of the beginning too. > Double steps do not mix well with gallops. > Mine usage is not as tasteful, but mostly it's predictable and uncreative. > Actually, that's a pretty good way to describe most of this file. Tilt 3 / 10 It's Crazy Frog. And it's not all that well executed. Sorry, but this just isn't something I want to play. Total 67 / 100 milkshake (extended cut) Song 14 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 4 / 5 Good length but I hear a cut artifact at measure 48. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 6 / 6 Lots of synth to work with. Graphics 11 / 15 -Background 5 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 I read the readme and you got what you were going for. But it's not earning you points. Fonts are a bit rough, as is the background itself. The drawing isn't too bad though. -Banner 6 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Nicer than the banner, probably due to the resize. Steps 50 / 60 -Light 8 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 3 / 4 The eighth note taps definitely make this a 4. --Is it Fun? 5 / 6 Patterning is good, but I still have concerns about those taps in a light song at 140 BPM. -Standard 14 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 10 / 10 No complaints. -Heavy 15 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 11 / 14 I like the timing in the intro synths but I wish the layout was cleaner, at least for Heavy. A jump in measure 13 doesn't match similar patterns elsewhere. The freeze crossover at measure 15 baits you. Much better freeze foot moving than many other entries. I like measure 27. Measure 31's just ugly. The mines in 32 and 33 are gratuitous and I think the step jumps are overkill. 36 is doable but 37 is pretty tough since the left foot needs to escape the mine but the right foot's on the arrow. Up to measure 48 is good, then it gets a bit ugly again. -Challenge 13 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 9 / 14 I like the progress up to the handplant in measure 15. Everything before that is ugly. The mines in 16 through 23 are also very rough. The sixteenth pivots in 25 are uncalled for by the music. I like the mines in 39 but the preceding area's just messy. Same with everything up to 48. And there's way too many sixteenths in there that just don't belong. The end is creative again, but still rough. I wish you took this more seriously because it could have been good too. -Challenge (If included) Makes B/10 S/14 H/18 C/18 -- Was it different than Heavy, yet still creative? Tilt 4 / 10 After your rise to preeminence in the last year this is a disappointment. There's potential but you shouldn't have intentionally ITGed everything up. Total 79 / 100 V35 Song 14 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 5 / 5 -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 IIDX. 'nuff said. Graphics 10 / 15 -Background 5 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 The text is slapped on without any type of blending and not even centered, which looks pretty bad. Since you didn't make the source art either I have to limit the points I give you. -Banner 5 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 This has the same problems as the background - no text blending - plus the colors are hard to see. Since it's at least a rearrangement it gets some points. Steps 36 / 60 -Light 6 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 3 / 4 This only turned into a light song at the end, when the eighth notes went away all of a sudden. --Is it Fun? 3 / 6 Your steps change often, but the music doesn't, and you aren't building so much as going all over the place. Your freeze arrows are also of inconsistent length, which shows a lack of polish. The step-jump at measure 23 is totally uncalled for. The runs in 43 through 47 are boring back-and-forth. -Standard 9 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 5 / 10 The first sixteenth does not belong, and it's exascerbated by the fact that this is standard. You also missed the music in measures 6 and 7 - there is no point in this song that goes (x00x00x00x00x000) starting on a quarter note. The random changes re-surface with random sometimes-freeze, sometimes-not patterns in measures up to 22. The handplant at 56 doesn't work for Standard at the very least. Basically Light all over again. -Heavy 9 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 3 / 4 Give it a 9 for mess. --Is it Fun? 6 / 14 The sixteenth sets at the beginning don't fit. I know you can get the musical pattern right because you do it in measure 6 and the start of 7 but you get it wrong immediately after. Way too much bakc and forth in 9 through 12. The middle was going fine but the gallops in 30 are utterly unnecessary. Everything through 40 reintroduces change-at-random. 60 sees the return of the 4286 patterns that you use way too much. Measure 67 is, quite frankly, retarded - where'd the yellows come from? -Challenge 12 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 8 / 14 Nothing new to add. Same problems as above, but a little less egregious here. The gallop part was somewhat good but the rest of it was as spastic as usual. Tilt 2 / 10 Variation needs to be song-induced or building and sustained, not sporadic. This feels like you just hit record in SM. Needs a lot more polish and some better step theory. Total 62 / 100 Grip - my song, no grade The Soul Receiver Song 13 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 4 / 5 A shade too long. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 It's not that great on my ears but it does have step potential. Graphics 12 / 15 -Background 6 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 Well-done text onto other image earns mid-level points. -Banner 6 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 It looks nice and all, but you really need to be able to READ the banner. I've seen worse fonts but this one's out there. Since it's the official logo I gave you the points anyway. Steps 51 / 60 -Light 10 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 6 / 6 Good steps. No complaints. -Standard 12 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 3 / 4 Mines push it to 7. --Is it Fun? 9 / 10 I wish there were fewer crossovers for Standard but other than that it's excellent. Good mines, but may be a bit hard on Standard players. -Heavy 15 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 11 / 14 The mines in measure 14 are a little tricky. I like everything else up to measure 28. Those jump patterns afterward are a bit icky. Up to 41 is good afterwards, although the minefield would just force me off the pad. The mine row at measure 53 isn't really a good idea. I recommend keeping the sixteenths and backing off the jumps through 57 to 65. The ending was a bit overdone too. -Challenge 14 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 10 / 14 Back off a few of the jumps before measure 7. I'd be very very cautious with sixteenth note step-jumps. They're really hard and not at all fun. I like the sixteenth fest up to measure 21. Proper eighth notes during freezes in measures 22 and 24. The sixteenth runs are fine up to measure 32 but the jumps still seem a bit forced. Measure 33 is real ugly. The freezes up through 41 are twisty but doable. Through 45 is awkward but it gets better through 49. The mines through 57 are nasty and suggest a bar. Through 65 is mostly good but awkward in a few places. The end is crazy and I think the jumps are a bit much. The sixteenths fit throughout; this is a good sixteenth song. There's some spots that need smoothing though. Tilt 5 / 10 Definitely above average for this pack. Still needs some smoothing out. Total 81 / 100 Hang Up Song 12 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 3 / 5 The first eight measures really don't add anything to the song and should be nixed. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 A little soft for my tastes but it's workable. Graphics 13 / 15 -Background 7 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 5 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 The easy way out but still nice font work. -Banner 6 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 A rearrangement of a good BG earns most but not all of the points. Steps 45 / 60 -Light 8 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 4 / 6 The streamy parts are very nice but when you broke from the stream you did it in odd ways. -Standard 11 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 7 / 10 I really think crossovers should be kept out of Standard as much as possible. I think the double taps are probably a hair too much anyway. For the most part, it's not bad, just kinda boring. -Heavy 14 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 10 / 14 In measures 13 to 21 I like the crossovers but the jacks don't really fit anything at all. At measure 26 I think following the vocals would be prudent (this carries across all difficulties). The step-jumps in measures 31, 33 and 34 don't seem to be warranted either - the short eighth runs would be fine on their own. 37 to 44 is a wonderful example of how to make up your own rhythm in a manner that works - good job there. Too many jumps in 47 and 48. Good effort but needs some polish. -Challenge 12 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 8 / 14 Aside from the synths in measures 10 and 11 nowhere in the beginning warrants sixteenths. Even with the handplant being down at measure 20 it's still nice, but the sixteenths are still needlessly spammed. Nice spins in 21 and 23 but the subsequent jumps aren't that fun. Sixteenths still don't fit in measure 29. Swinging your foot back and forth across the pad in measures 31 and 33 isn't fun either - they AT LEAST have to be on diagonally adjacent panels. The sixteenths in measure 36 are still a stretch but better than the rest so far. Measures 37 to 45 have nice handplants but still too many 16ths. The jump parts in measures 46 and 50 aren't warranted either, but the runs with spins are good. Basically, there's no need for this to have sixteenths basically anywhere. Although that's not unlike ITG, I've ever graded these things based on what's in the game, just on what's fun. This has moments but it's really too much for the song. Tilt 4 / 10 The song's a bit bland and the steps try to overcompensate. Plus, wrong title. Total 74 / 100 Right Thurr Song 7 / 15 -Quality 3 / 4 Was this ripped from a radio station? -Length and cut 3 / 5 Way too long. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 1 / 6 I have an intense desire to stab you. Plus, the song has a grand total of two measures' worth of musical variation. Give me a break. Graphics 12 / 15 -Background 5 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 Text on other image equals basic effort points. Better source art and font work would raise it another point. -Banner 7 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 5 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 I assume this is just a crop of something but it actually looks very nice. Steps 25 / 60 Forgive me if I don't take this one too seriously. -Light 11 / 15 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 6 / 10 They weren't utterly awful but they were pretty inconsistent. -Standard 11 / 20 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 5 Probably more of a 5. --Is it Fun? 7 / 15 There's no music, what are the steps going to go to? It's certainly not the words. -Heavy 3 / 25 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 3 / 5 Harder than that. --Is it Fun? 0 / 20 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO. -Challenge (If included) Makes B/10 S/14 H/18 C/18 -- Was it different than Heavy, yet still creative? Tilt 0 / 10 "Thurr" is not a word. Total 44 / 100 Vampire Killer Song 14 / 15 -Quality: 4 / 4 -Length and cut 5 / 5 -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 I do love this song. Ashura's improvement never ceases to amaze me. Minus one on creativity for pre-cut song though. Graphics 11 / 15 -Background 6 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 Some text blending would be nice, but it doesn't clash as bad here as some entries. Mid-range points for easy-way background. -Banner 5 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Same thing, but much, much harder to read. Watch your colors or add a border, please. Steps 43 / 60 -Light 14 / 15 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 9 / 10 Plays more like a 2 than anything I've played in a long time. I think the taps near the end should be tapered back and the small freezes are too small to put in (although they technically can be NGed). -Standard 12 / 20 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 5 Easily a 7. --Is it Fun? 8 / 15 The sixteenths early on can be done without; I'm not certain they're right anyway. The pivots in measures 19 and 21 not only shouldn't be in Standard but they don't really fit. The step-jumps in 27 and 29 aren't Standard material either (and they also aren't prominent in the music), and the jumps in 28 are pushing it. Measure 32 is also best saved for a 7-foot heavy. Measure 56 is even worse. The jumps at the end are also too much. And then the chunk in the middle has nothing but quarter notes. Re-assess a standard player's abilities a bit. Patterning isn't the best either. -Heavy 17 / 25 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 12 / 20 Measure 8 is a big no. Sliding one foot across the pad like that is not fun. The crossovers in 19 and 20 are doable but they aren't the best idea. I don't much care for the gallop gallop jump in 27 and 29. The freezes in 30 through 33 are worthless and the sixteenth crossover and mine in 34 are just malicious. 46 to 49 are quite good. The taps through 53 start to feel less like they fit though. 54 to 57 are just overdoing it. You missed the music you were going for in 59. 66 to 69 are also ugly with too much jumping and crossing over while doing it. I do like the handplants at the end. Tilt 3 / 10 You say this is your first file. Sorry, but it shows. I'm completely confused by the public reviewing of this file - it's really very mediocre, at best. I don't think the BGs are as great as everyone says. They're simple and kind of annoying. The skull particularly hurts my brain. Total / 100 Metal Queen Song 13 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 4 / 5 Too long but it's not repetitive. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 Not a bad song at all. Graphics 12 / 15 -Background 6 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 There's some pixelation in the background, and there's not much going on, so mid-range points. -Banner 6 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Crop and rearrange of decent BG earns 4 of 5. Steps 48 / 60 -Light 10 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 Edging to a 4 but not quite there. --Is it Fun? 6 / 6 Superb use of mines. You get a bonus tilt for that. Great steps. -Standard 13 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 9 / 10 The double steps in measure 80 don't really belong. The quarter note pivots are a nice introduction to them. Back off the freeze at the end even if the music keeps going; it gets old. -Heavy 15 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 --Is it Fun? 11 / 14 I don't really like the initial jackhammers. The freeze minefields aren't too bad. In measures 11 to 16 the jumps are a bit much, and in measures 17 and 18 the jackhammer spins really don't do it for me. 18 to 21 are just a mirror of 11 to 14, which reminds me of my early days - it's something to grow out of. In measure 27 and the like the jump-jacks would be better with no movement, or at least a pair of the same jumps on each set. This really doesn't seem like a handplant song either. Measures 38 to 40 are a good example of extended freezework. The slowdown is pretty cool with the mines you shouldn't hit but the speedup jacks are just ruthless. In measures 56 and 57 I'd suggest doing stationary sixteenths like (424) rather than things like (842) which are very tough for a Heavy song. Nice winding in 60 and 61. I'd watch the spins afterward myself but I know some people who are all over that kind of thing. The end is mostly strong - just watch the sixteenths again. Still a solid chart. -Challenge 10 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 Definitely a 12. --Is it Fun? 6 / 14 I was wondering when I was going to see a completely baseless 16th run to truly make this an ITG pack. This is it. I would have liked to see a bit less overkill, especially in the mines department here. You were so tasteful with them on all the other difficulties that it's a bit disappointing. This song doesn't feel like an unleashed sixteenth run song either. The Charlene-ish parts in measure 30 aren't too bad, but spins in a minefield afterward are pretty much physically impossible (well, there's the bar, but let's ignore that). The slowdown steps are fine, without the mines. The sixteenth pivots in measure 57 are madness. Measures 66 to 73 are VERY appropriate and would be a much better way to do the rest of the song. The last handplant is only sustainable by switching a foot to it ASAP. This thing is total overkill. Tilt 6 / 10 You started off so well and if you just hadn't ruined that last Challenge chart you'd be a standout in the division. As it is, there's a line between hard and overkill and this is overkill. Total 79 / 100 Get 'Em Up to Rave Song 14 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 5 / 5 It's an IIDX song. The cut comes free. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 Appropriate, but IIDX is almost non-creative by default. But it's not fair to do an implicit IIDX penalty so I won't. Graphics 14 / 15 -Background 7 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 5 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 Not quite as cool as the banner, but still very nice. -Banner 7 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 5 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Different from the BG and very nice. Steps 48 /60 -Light 8 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 I don't know about you, but I've never played a 5 with gallops (save MAYBE Share My Love Standard IIRC), or a Light song with gallops for that matter. The steps are excellent in and of themselves, but if you put them on Standard they'd be appropriate. --Is it Fun? 6 / 6 I can't knock these for content at all. They're great steps. They just aren't light material. -Standard 10 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 This'd make a very good heavy 9. It is by no account a standard 7. --Is it Fun? 8 / 10 The single double step around measure 68 is out of place given that there's none anywhere else. I also think the end ramped the difficulty a little higher than fits with the rest of the song. -Heavy 14 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 This is, again, a mid-to-hard 10. --Is it Fun? 12 / 14 The mines in measure 5 aren't doing much to force positioning so much as encourage teleportation. They really don't need to be there. I do like the crossovers that look for a split second like double stepping will work until the sixteenth run is taken into account. -Challenge 16 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 4 Rated right for once. --Is it Fun? 12 / 14 I think measures 26 to 33 are a little bit too hectic even for this chart. The jumps in this chart are beginning to stretch the bounds of necessity just a bit. Still there's not too much to complain about here, for what this is. Tilt 4 / 10 Your steps are nice but your file is broken. If you move all your charts up one and you write some *real* light steps you have a contender here. At an ABSOLUTE minimum you need to rate your charts correctly. Total 80 / 100 I Wanna Be An Angel Song 12 / 15 -Quality: 4 / 4 -Length and cut 3 / 5 Way too repetitive to be so long. Trim a MINIMUM of 15 seconds from this thing. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 Kinda bland musically but there's room to work. Graphics 12 / 15 -Background 6 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 1 / 1 The font work needs some practice (REALLY hard to read) and the art is just a lift, so mid-level points here. -Banner 6 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 3 / 5 --Size/format 1 / 1 Different, but the fonts still come out of the image too much. Steps 42 / 60 -Light 13 / 15 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 8 / 10 The two measures after the slowdown are really really awkward. Everything else was fine. -Standard 15 / 20 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 5 / 5 --Is it Fun? 10 / 15 I think you can do without the four jumps at measure 24. The speedup is still in a very awkward place to put it - you should speed up AFTER the words at (what is currently) measure 39. Don't use useless freezes like in measures 39 and 40. Measure 56 is probably not a good idea on standard, as it makes you swing your foot across the pad in an eighth note. The patterning throughout could use a bit more consistency. -Heavy 14 / 25 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 4 / 5 Definitely a 9 with those handplants and twists. --Is it Fun? 10 / 20 Argh, return of the mini-freezes right at the beginning. Don't do that, there's no point. If you must have handplants there, hold on the single note and plant on the clap, it'd be ten times better. The following steps are also erratic... if you're going to have sixteenth notes be careful with your foot positioning. Behind-the-back handplants like at measure 25 should be used very sparingly. The extended handplant in the slowdown would be impossible on certain kinds of pads. The slowdown part is utterly unnecessary if this is all you're going to do in it each time. The speedup is still awkward. The step jumps in measures 41 and 42 don't fit the music. The handplant in 47 is a positive. The patterns in 51, 52 and 53 require either giving up the freeze or hitting three consecutive arrows with one foot, which is not a comfortable choice. Measures 57 through 63 are marred by imaginary sixteenths and a total lack of patterning. The ending isn't bad but I'd kill that handplant too. Definitely needs some work. Tilt 4 / 10 The entire thing is unnecessarily off by a quarter beat, which players won't notice but is still something you should try to line up. Your patterning needs some definite improvement. Also, try renaming the file next time :p Total 70 / 100 Dance Dance Song 14 / 15 -Quality 4 / 4 -Length and cut 5 / 5 Long, but not too repetitive. -Appropriate/Creativity of song selection 5 / 6 I think they're overrated, but it's a creative choice, which I have to reward you for. It works well enough. Graphics 8 / 15 -Background 5 / 8 --Includes song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 4 / 6 --Proper Size/format 0 / 1 Generic but okay. Wrong image format. -Banner 3 / 7 --Includes author and song title 1 / 1 --Aesthetic Appeal 2 / 5 --Size/format 0 / 1 Direct crop of BG - at least move something around. This is a longstanding OSC suggestion. Wrong image format. Steps 41 / 60 -Light 8 / 10 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 Blue arrow syndrome - the main beat falls on eighth notes rather than quarter notes as it should. This is a non-fatal error, but you lose points for it. --Is it Fun? 6 / 6 The eighth notes might be tricky but the steps fit very well. -Standard 10 / 14 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 Blue arrow syndrome. --Is it Fun? 8 / 10 Your runs are a bit bland and could use more variation. Aside from that it's pretty good. -Heavy 12 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 2 / 4 Blue arrow syndrome. --Is it Fun? 10 / 14 Measures 11 to 14 follow the vocals, but measures 15 to 18 keep the same pattern in spite of vocal changes. Most of the parts that follow the vocals could stand to go to something else instead. I like the held crossovers in measures 21 and 23. In measures 28 to 32, you should shift positions a beat earlier, in time with the shift in the music. Lots of dead air from 39 to 41. > The chorus is very well done. The last step would work better as a gallop. Challenge 11 / 18 --Bug-free and Appropriate difficulty rating. 1 / 4 Blue arrow syndrome. Very hard for a 10. --Is it Fun? 10 / 14 >verything up to measure 7 is very good, but more fitting an 11 than a 10. The following steps and handplants are quite awkward. The jump section is also very 11-ish, even with a low BPM. The mines are used in a confusion role, which is good. Measures 15 through 17 are a bit more difficult than warranted. 19 is a cleverly forced crossover. Again... up-to-down handplants are very awkward. Up to measure 26 is mostly good, but the double steps in a minefield leading up to sixteenths akes a really akward pattern. Measures 29 to 32 are more difficult than warranted by the song. Measures 33 to 36 should start the sixteenth runs on alternating feet to improve flow. At least be more consistent about it. Measures 37 to 39 are more like it, but there's still dead air - even quarter taps here would be nice. In measure 41, the last drum hit doesn't warrant a jump there at all. Everything else is fine save prior complaints. Despite the dissection it was pretty fun. The mines don't need to be used in a confusion role EVERYWHERE. There's too many of them. -Challenge (If included) Makes B/10 S/14 H/18 C/18 -- Was it different than Heavy, yet still creative? Tilt 1 / 10 A decent effort, but it's marred by technical difficulties left and right, and I think the BPM's off. Better luck next time. Delete the "Copied from Copied f" too. Total 64 / 100
