Scoring is as follows: Humor - 50% (5 points) 5 - funny enough to affect performance 4 - laughs 3 - chuckles 2 - smirks 1 - apathy 0 - disdain Technical - 50% (5 points) 1 point each for Light, Standard, Heavy - or - 1.5 points each for Heavy and Challenge (much to my chagrin) 1 point for art 1 point for tilt (at my discretion) Colors (Psychotic Hangover Edit) - 6.5 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Bad vocals, and crazy lyrics. Is it funny? A little, but it gets old fast. The lyrics are noticeably messed in some places as well - you need to watch your .s and :s. 3.0 / 5.0 > Technical Heavy: The steps in measures 9 through 16 (trying to go to the chorus) are fairly bad at doing so. This is more because they aren't singing on-time, but that also means it's a bad choice of steps there. The rest is mostly acceptable though. 1.1 / 1.5 Challenge: Again with measures 9 through 16. They have the same unnecessary arrows that the real Colors [C] does, which is not something to be commended. Measure 32 also struck me as completely wrong. The rest of it was nothing stellar, but had no major problems either. 0.9 / 1.5 Graphics: Points for work, and uniqueness, although it's incredibly non-sequitir and a desperate attempt to make one of the fake lyrics funnier. 1.0 / 1.0 Tilt: A thoroughly mediocre file on merit - steps could use some definite polish. 0.5 / 1.0 Computer Oba-Chan - 4.5 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: I don't know... the captions, maybe? Is it funny? Definitely not. 1.0 / 5.0 > Technical Light: The early steps didn't really seem to follow the music very well (arbitrary gaps and such), but they got better. 0.7 / 1.0 Medium: Okay, everything before measure 13 could SO be cut out of this without ruining anything*. As far as the double jumps go, either use them all the time, use them not at all, or build to them. Randomly switching them in and out (and putting them where there's less music) isn't very good design. Plus, this is a 7. 0.5 / 1.0 Heavy: I see why you kept the beginning in. But you only follow some of the sounds - the three-sixteenths sets should be five sixteenths. Most of the rest of it was pretty good, although the end also seemed a bit arbitrary. 0.8 / 1.0 As a side note, the challenge steps were by far the best chart in the set. Graphics: There's some work put into the animations, but that doesn't make them good. 0.5 / 1.0 Tilt: I'm going to give you the full point for the great challenge steps in an otherwise mediocre file. 1.0 / 1.0 Flat Beat - 0.9 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Um, puppets, I guess? Is it funny? Even more definitely not, and the song sucks worse too. 0.0 / 5.0 > Technical Heavy: Let's see here: the yellow arrows at the end are a tell-tale sign of creeping sync. Besides that, while the song's tick is dead-on where it should be (sync notwithstanding), the footing was ignored entirely. The slowdown in the middle is completely unwarranted. That one teensy freeze in the middle isn't even discernable as such on 1x. And on top of that, it goes on about 177 seconds longer than it should - more of a boring song is not going to save it. This is a valid example of a bad file. 0.3 / 1.5 Challenge: Just like the above but worse. The entire beginning was copy-and-pasted, and the repetitive run with a full spin on sixteenth notes at 130 BPM is just... no. 0.1 / 1.5 Graphics: Unimpressive at best. 0.5 / 1.0 Tilt: This is bad. And not "so bad it's funny" bad, just flat out bad. 0.0 / 1.0 Highway 40 - 7.2 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Brak. Falls mostly under "bad singing" as before, but also adds some randomness. Is it funny? Not as funny as some other Brak stuff I've heard. Some of it's just annoying. Good for a chuckle though. 3.0 / 5.0 > Technical Light: Not the most appropriate Light chart, but there are certainly a few good ideas here that I can't hold that against it. 1.0 / 1.0 Standard: Not quite as clever as Light, and a few parts I thought would be obnoxious to Standard players. 0.8 / 1.0 Heavy: Adding steps to the in-between parts to add to the difficulty ends up being just a hair awkward in practice. Light still makes the best use of the gimmicks. 0.8 / 1.0 Graphics: BG is cheesy, but in an "I've done that before" sort of way. The banner's a bit slapped together though. 0.7 / 1.0 Tilt: I have to commend the creativity here. 0.9 / 1.0 Speaking from the Heart - 6.7 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Wrestler singing. Plus animations. Is it funny? The song comes off more as stupid than funny (and they mispronounce macho). But I have to admit Astrosavage was pretty funny (although if you gave him a bit more of a spin throughout, even more so). 2.5 / 5.0 > Technical Light: Nothing of particular note here. Very solid. 0.9 / 1.0 Standard: The beginning seemed a bit off, but it got better later in the song. Some of the footing during the freezes seemed awkward too. 0.7 / 1.0 Heavy: Twenty-fourths. The beginning has the same flaws as Standard's did. Everything else was pretty good though. 0.7 / 1.0 Graphics: Nice photoshops and some clever bganim work. 1.0 / 1.0 Tilt: Namedroppping will get you everywhere. (Oh, and points for effort) 0.9 / 1.0 USB? - 4.7 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Some in-joke about an ITG machine breaking. Is it funny? No. If you have to explain it, it's not funny. 1.0 / 5.0 > Technical Light: Probably a 5 due to the speed, but no other complaints. 0.9 / 1.0 Standard: Way too many double-steps in the runs for a Standard, boss song or not. Flow is crucial. 0.7 / 1.0 Heavy: A few double steps, but less of an issue here. Still felt bland at times. 0.8 / 1.0 I don't like the challenge steps that much. There's funnier ways to use mines. What is kind of funny is that SM cannot handle all the mines at the end - it stutters if you hit them and you miss some of them due to that. Graphics: Banner is plain, BG is simple. 0.6 / 1.0 Tilt: You did a lot of charts, which is nice, and you made a song, which would be nice if it were any good. 0.7 / 1.0 You Got Robo-Served - 7.0 / 10.0 > Humor Why it's supposed to be funny: Dancing robots. Is it funny? It was hilarious in context of the TV show, but it's merely funny here. 3.0 / 5.0 > Technical Light: The song skips beats, so it looks odd. But one little nitpick: corner jumps do not belong in a 1, regardless of how far apart they are. Aside from that I have no complaints. 0.7 / 1.0 Standard: I thought the jumps were a tad excessive but they fit in a 6. No other complaints. 0.9 / 1.0 Heavy: The taps may, again, be a bit excessive but at this speed they aren't too bad. I especially liked playing to the synth at the beginning. Freeze part was a bit awkward at times. 0.8 / 1.0 Challenge is similar to Heavy. Graphics: Video caps (would have been nice to use two different stills). 0.6 / 1.0 Tilt: Fun song, fun steps, pretty well done, and a full set of Doubles. 1.0 / 1.0 Summary, for the lazy: Colors (Psychotic Hangover Edit) - 6.5 / 10.0 Computer Oba-Chan - 4.5 / 10.0 Flat Beat - 0.9 / 10.0 Highway 40 - 7.2 / 10.0 Speaking from the Heart - 6.7 / 10.0 USB? - 4.7 / 10.0 You Got Robo-Served - 7.0 / 10.0
