Anne Fidler Ancona

I have been the Parish Nurse at St. Joseph Church, Auburn MA for two years. It is a wonderful ministry. I feel like I have found my calling. There is a lot of information on Parish Nursing here or here.

I am very involved in Parish Nurse Ministries, Inc., a not for profit Christian organization established to promote the concept of Parish Nursing. We have a newsletter, of which I am a co-editor. PNM has bi-monthly support groups, there are over a dozen parish nurses in the Worcester area!

Through Parish Nursing I became involved with Koinonia of Vermont and was asked to be on their board. I plan their Parish Nurse events, the main one of which is a yearly retreat. I have enjoyed getting to know Paul and Dorothy Alberti, the founders and treasure the time in Southern Vermont. A big plus for me is the worship opportunity at nearby Weston Priory. If you want to know more about Koinonia of Vermont you can see their web site at http://www.koinoniaofvermont.org/.

I am also involved in our parish, St. Mary of the Hills in Boylston. I am a lector and I joined the choir two years ago. I always sang at Mass, but had never sung in a chorus or choir. It is really fun.

The boys keep me busy. I am involved in carpooling to get both to and from school. I coordinate the newsletter for their scout troop and help out as needed. Bringing them to and from various activities keeps me on the run.

My email address is anne@anconafamily.com.

I grew up in Milton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Milton High School in 1975, Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1978, and Vermont College in 1984.

Tom's confirmation Thomas Ancona

I am a Junior at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury. I do well in school and enjoy many of my classes. I do Model United Nations after school and will be attending a Model UN conference in Chicago in late January. I am also Senior Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop 227 in Shrewsbury. I love following our school's sports teams. In the fall this year the football team won the Division I Super Bowl and the soccer team won the Division I State Championship. We also look to have a promising basketball team this year. I am also an absolute Red Sox Nutcase. I hate Dan Duquette and can't wait until the Red Sox get their new owner (not Jeremy Jacobs!!!!!). I also follow the Patriots fervently. On the web I like to listen to music and play games. I also go to my favorite animated movie review site: www.supercalafragalistic.com. I have AOL Instant Messenger and my screen name is redsoxnut007. My email address is tom@anconafamily.com.

Mark Mark Ancona

My name is Mark Ancona. I am 15 years old and I attend St. John's. I am interested in sports, and currently I am doing wrestling. In the spring I played soccer. Academcis is alright but this school is much harder than any high school you could think of. My parents are Anne and Jim Ancona. They are regular parents, but as normal parents they can’t shut their mouths for a seconds. Well peace. Word out to my boys, Chris, Glenn, Adam, Baldore, and Matt.
