Services

In addition to responding to auto accidents, the Walker County Rescue Squad also serves the area in other times of need. The Squad searches for drowning victims and lost persons. They help with rescue and recovery in tornado devastated areas and are in the process of training a search and rescue dog. The Squad also offers a dive team and BLS non emergency transport services.

The Walker County Rescue Squad provides rigorous training to its members to insure all possible steps are taken to save lives. In addition to first aid, members are trained in defensive driving, water safety, and emergency lighting. The Squads' headquarters is equipped with up-to-date radio equipment to provide communications over the largest possible area.

Any one requiring assistance may call E-911, or (205) 384-9524.
