I worked as an illustrator for the Air Force, and was academically trained in art at college where I earned a master's degree in media. But my art skills are primarily the result of teaching myself and others. I have taught art classes for adults, in college, and in the public schools. My art work has appeared in magazines, calendars, cards, billboards, game boxes, books, and in galleries. My art knowledge and skills have afforded me income sufficient to live comfortably with my wife in a home I designed myself on the palisades of the Columbia River in Washington State.
I've sailed the San Juan Islands, shot the rapids in California and Colorado, and camped in Washington, Virginia and Canada. I've enjoyed exploring the catacombs of Rome and seeing the jungle from the top of a Mayan pyramid. My travels have taken me to Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Venice, Crete, London, Paris, New York, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Cancun and many other locations. My other interests include science, history and just about anything strange or unusual.
