Phoenix girls basketball has clinched a 2nd place finish in league play - they ran their Skyline record to 9-2 last night with a 44-31 win over North Valley. BUT IN BIGGER NEWS - Henley jumped out early and hung on to beat IV by 1 over in the Basin, knocking the Cougars into a tie for the league title with Phoenix - so if the Bucs can go to Murphy and win to close out the season, they will share the league title and MAY claim the #1 berth when the tie-breakers sort out.
