The girls went north, the guys stayed in town. For the most part, it was a successful weekend.
Karen Seeley, the Kaos and Valkyie coach, emailed some details.
Only 24 girls made the trip up, and not all of them played both days, so guest players were critical (each team loaned 3 players to the other for each game).
Kaos opened with a 7-0 romp against the North Clackamas Lady Kingsmen. With the three loaned from Valkyrie, that match used 16 Phx players. Valkyrie then went to Southside with their 11 plus 3 Kaos, and came from 0-2 down at half to win 3-2.
Sunday saw Kaos take Westside Metros 4-0 while Valkyrie matched that tally against Lady Kingsmen.
Next week, both girls' sides are home, while Oregon City and Bend come to town. Valkyrie kicks off at 1pm vs Bend at Colver and Kaos follows at 3 v OC on Saturday. Sunday's contests are at Spiegelberg, with Valkyrie at 11 v OC and Kaos at 1 v Bend.
On the boys' side, Outkast dispatched ESU Gold on Saturday, 4-0 and then dropped a 1-3 decision to Santos FC on Sunday. The boys host Westside Metros Storm, 3pm Saturday at Spiegelberg and are idle on Sunday.
