Sophomores Callie Fleeger and Hannah Wilson will get a call up to the Varsity roster for Saturday's home opener vs Rogue River. Fleeger, who also played in the Jamboree last weekend, will wear #11. Wilson, who wasn't available for the Jamboree, has yet to select a jersey. Katie Dreizsus, Katie Johnson, and Taja Watkins also came up for the Jamboree.

The JV team, originally scheduled to play St. Mary's on Saturday, gained an open date when the Crusaders' JV program folded. With 11 dates on the JV schedule, players swinging up to Varsity can appear 3 times without having to sit out any of the JV games. The Phoenix Varsity roster carries a solid 15, but can grow to 20 for post season play. Expect as many as 7 JV players to garner invites to dress in Varsity matches throughout the season, as that playoff roster is determined.

Phoenix needs to finish in the top 2 in District 6 to be assured a state playoff spot. Finishing in the top 5 means post season play via a league playoff for the #3 state berth, as long as no ties in the top spots exist.
