Piracy warning : Warning After searching around I found a few gems you can use to do this. http://Fugiebar.tripod.com/ NEEDED OR OPTIONAL UTILITIES |Rightbelow| --------------------------------------------------------------- Get Kazaa Lite first ;-) * You can download it off the normal kazaa. * Use adaware to clear you computer of spyware kazaa or anyother program put on it. * Search for the below files... if, of course, you need a "back-up" of those files since, of course, you already purchased them... and... ahem... "lost"... the cd or something... WinISO * Makes ISO's and can convert BIN to ISO or Vice-versa but do not make "backup" copies of PSX games with this in ISO format and change it back to a cd, it doesn't work. Virtual CD * This programs makes a "virtual" cd rom, that means it is not there, but you can use it like a cd rom. * With this you can copy your playstation games onto the computer and play them with without needing the cd-rom... CVGS (Connectix Visual Gamestation) * This program is Great and can play all kinds of play station games. CloneCD * This ignores "Space consuming, annoying, pointless" copyright protections >;-), and copies the cd. This and nero are best methods of making backups. WinCDR * I don't like this one but you can burn .bin's with it. Nero * Same as above, and you can make .iso, .bin, etc to "distrubute" copies of the cd to uhh... yourself so you can burn them on a cd in your new location. You can burn .bin files with nero by selecting to open a file and you'll notice it seems to not let you because it says .iso and .nrg, well select display all files instead and open the .cue file(NOT THE BIN!!), and start burning... that simple. --------------------------------------------------------------- I'm sure I left out some features but this isn't a tutorial on burning! * Also note that i heard fireburner worked for burning psx. Maybe your software does too, but this is what I know works. * Note you can also you Morpheus (sucks), direct connect (fruity), kazaa (decent), WinMX (not bad, but never starts downloads, always qued), edonkey (wtf is this), or any other sharing client to find ISO's. ... that you would need for backup of the cd's you've already purchased. *wink wink http://Fugiebar.tripod.com If ya havent already put two and two together, I'll give ya an explanation. _____________________________________________________________________ WITH A CD-BURNER |Craka| ---------------- 1. Get a good friend or rent a buncha disks from blockbuster (take it back and say the playstation isn't working after your done if you do... not that I've done that before.......... heh...). Of course only because your original copy doesn't work! 4. Let CloneCd do its stuff... Voila! Of course only because your original copy doesn't work! 4. Create a virtual cd with, guess, that's right, the virtual cd software. 5. Click manage vcds and then click the file image (the vcd(VIRTUAL CD!!!)) right click the virtual drive (f, a, g, whatever you named it.) and click insert. 6. Run CVGS to play. You can now throw away the cd, or return it to blockbuster or your friend. You have your bin or iso and want to turn it back into a game. |diftype| --------------------------------------------------------------- .ISO --- 1. Use Nero, Roxio, Fireburner, winCDR, etc. .Bin --- 2. Use Nero, or WINCDR. .nrg --- 3. Use Nero. .ccd .sub .img -------------- 4. Once you get it as an ISO use nero, ISObuster, winISO, roxio, or whatever to make it into a cd. Use it then use the playstation game. * Note in 1 faq I saw they said to place the bootdisk into the ISO. I dunno what the hell they were talking about. Please help. I have an .bin and .cue file an nero and I'm too lazy to look it up and read about it in nero or ask.com so I'll ask you to guide me step by step. A:::::::With the wizard: 1. Compile a new Cd. Next--> 2. Other Cd formats. Next--> 3. Next--> 4. Finish--> 5. A screen pops up to chose the file and you will see that it only has .bin and .nrg(*.nrg, *.bin) that's why you scroll thatlist down and select "all files (*.*)". Then select the .Cue file !!!!!!!!! NOt the .bin file !!!!!!!!! 6. Start burning. Without the wizard, in nero, just click ctrl+O(without the + dumnass that just means "and") or select the open icon on your upper left and use step 5. Q:::::::WTF!? The rom didn't work!?!? A:::::::You used win ISO or another unsure program? Sure programs are: NERO and CloneCD, of course there are many others but I haven't used them, I have no need to. You can check for errors on clonecd. Maybe it had too many errors or was a pal or other version of PSX incompatible without a mod-chip. Q:::::::DUDE... GimmIE sOMe GAmeS!!! I'm always on queue on winmx and then it dissapears too! A:::::::1. No. 2. You have to right click when it says "busy 20billion in queue" and enter remotely queued. It is not a very good method on winmx to just search and grab. You have to go to the chat rooms and say, "PSX for PSX?" If you find someone willing they search you, you search them. Sometimes you trade PSX lists if you have alot and burn them onto the comp.
