Listening

Many church coffeehouses describe themselves as listening rooms where the audience is quiet during the performance.  Prairie Coffeehouse also encourages a listening environment because:

• a quiet, attentive audience helps musicians perform their best work
  
  
• it shows respect for other audience members who come to listen
  
  
• when you let yourself be still, there's no telling where your imagination will take you

That said, fellowship is also an important part of the Prairie Coffeehouse.  Doors open at 6:30, so there's time for fellowship before the music, during the performers' break, and after the music ends.
