Over 30 Soccer Team – 2004 Season News
Great Party!!! (see photos)
We had the
team’s annual post-Thanksgiving / early-Holiday Season party hosted by
Manny and his wonderful spouse Trish.
Most players, wives and significant others were present and everyone had
a great time. There was way too much
food and drink – but nobody complained until the next morning. Highlights of the evening:

As a
token of appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to the team,
coaches’ jackets were presented to Manny and Farinha by captain Joe
Mingachos with help from John Benitez.
Manny’s and Farinha’s work and commitment to the team are
undeniably the primary reason for the team’s success this season.
·
As if
he had not done enough all season long, Manny presented every team member with
a framed 8x10 “Double Winning Team” photo from the last game of the
season.
·
Substantial
time engaging in serious laughing, eating and drinking.
·
A
poker tournament capped off the evening – Victor ran off early with most
of the money!!!
In all, a great
way to end the season. Thanks again
Manny and Farinha for everything you’ve done for the team during all the
years and especially this season. Happy

We’ve Done It!!! State
Cup and League CHAMPIONS!!!
On Sunday
November 14tt, in the fine confines of our own PCC soccer field, the
Danbury United team defeated a tough Stratford United team by the score of
5-2. The team fought hard against a
strong first half wind and managed a well earned 2-2 score at half time. In the second half, with the wind at our
backs, there was no stopping this determined Danbury Team. See Game Report and photos. (2004-11-16)
We’re the Champions!!!
On Sunday
October 31st, with one regular season game remaining, the team
clinched its first SASL over
thirty league championship. The team has
come close on many occasions, but this is the first time we finished
