Run's Description
Welcome to our 2008 edition of the Goats Death Valley Trek. This is fast becoming a very popular run among the mountaingoats because of the relaxed nature of it and also because there are so many options to run/walk different mileages at your own pace. The nature of the terrain, not to mention the beauty and accessibility of TITUS CANYON, makes it the perfect run for runners of all ages and abilities.
This year's run takes place on Saturday, March 29, 2008 allowing participants to partake in the beauty of the desert flowers in full bloom and the awesome, quiet solitude of Titus Canyon. This run is only open to members of the mountaingoats group and their guests. The run starts on a level desert floor and finishes on a single track with 500ft. spectacular granite cliffs on each side. The goats headquarters are in beautiful Beatty, Nevada, just a few miles from the start, where we are planning to spend Friday and Saturday nights.
