Set
the intake down on the motor And
Install all the intake bolts. Tighten the water
pump housing to intake bolt first, then torque down the intake. Install the linkage and the throttle
return spring. Hook
up the fuel line and vacuum advance. |

Before
you start the engine check the throttle cable and make sure the carbs open all the way when you smash your foot down on
the pedal. Then lay some rags under the fuel lines in case of leaks. Crank
the engine and get the fuel pressure in the lines check for leaks. I like
fire up the motor quick, with a little shot of ether. After you get it to
idle around 700-800 rpm start balancing the mixture screws turn them in till
the motor stumbles then back them out until it smoothes out. Set the curb
idle and go for a test
