the afternoon comes round again
to catch me unawares again
but that's just what it does again

and here I sit

in purple majesty
upon the fruited plain
just tossing down the rain—
where does it all come from
it gushes and rushes and flushes the earth away and no one ever says, where does it all come from? Because it's in the air, you know, just floating blowing air you know but it's like there's a god damn ocean of it up there in the sky

automatic enigmatic most phlegmatic charismatic

I have no time to make a rhyme
what the hell do you think this is
a god damn restaurant?
you'll eat what I put in front of you and like it

you gotta gimme a break dude
you gotta give and take and shake a leg and never look back and take one day at a time and just keep putting one foot in front of the other and follow your nose and dont let the grass grow under your feet

crossing beams of light corruscant in the night
drawing flames of lambent luster like soldiers called to muster
in the sky

but if you see her
give her a hug for me and tell her I do miss her
be a shoulder for her to cry on, mister

who do you think you are anyway
