We have formed an alliance with Portland Karting Association which will allow us to race at the Yamhill county fairgrounds in McMinnville (Mactrack) for most of the season. . All of the races will be in the "Motorcycles only" format which will allow us to add as may classes as necessary in order to keep things fair and fun. For all of you that have not been there, click on the Mactrack link above for a pic, and I can tell you that it is a great technical track with high speeds and some tight turns. We have also partnered up with Cycle Imports to support one of the most ambitious mini road racing programs for kids in the USA. NWMRA has been recognized as one of the regional programs leading to a national championship where the top 5 qualifiers earn the right to compete in Spain for the world championship. The pay schedule for 2006 is as follows:
PKA membership for Motorcycles $50 (Not mandatory)
Motorcycle entry fee $55 (multiple classes on race day)
practice fee $20 for PKA members and $30 for non members
Pit passes are required for adults and children for $10
RV parking if plugged in is $15 per night.
To have fun racing Min bikes and other like bikes. It doesn't matter if we are racing for 1st or last place, we are simply out there to have fun.
We run at McMinville with the karting club for most of the season..
We race Mini bikes and like motorcycles that displace between 50cc and 230cc. Members of our club run Metrakit, YSRs, Mb5s, YZRs, NS, NSRs, Derbi's, Aprilia RS 50's, TTR 125's, XR 100's and any other 2 or 4 stroke motorcycle that is capable of racing with a displacement of less than 100cc .
Racers are both men and women and range in age from
