Buck's Plan

Russellville's youth is the future of our city. The efforts that we invest into their upbringing and their city will result in a better Russellville for everyone. It is my goal to invest in projects that will secure our youth's support and interest  in keeping Russellville as their home as well as future generations.

I vow to clean up Russellville. This will secure property values and will promote our city to visitors and prospective businesses or industry.

Over grown grass is not a good impression of Russellville for those passing through.

I will clean up our streets and roadways.

I pledge to support Dr. Wayne Ray and the Russellville City School System. We have an excellent school system and I want to assure that all of our students have the best education possible. I will do whatever is necessary to secure funding and assist our school system in providing quality education for Russellville's most valuable resource - our children.

It has come to my attention that many of Russellville's youth are interested in skateboarding, unfortunately there are no designated areas for them to safely enjoy this sport. The result is that too often I see Russellville's children skateboarding in our roadways and at other unsafe locations.

As mayor I will begin the construction of a skateboard park facility that will provide Russellville's youth with a safe place to skateboard.

Kids playing soccer Like the old saying goes, “Idle hands are the devil’s playground.” I believe this to be true. By investing in our youth now we can secure good Russellvillian's for tomorrow. Group activities and sports are excellent avenues in promoting teamwork and physical fitness while teaching citizenship and social skills. By offering a variety of activities, more children are encouraged to participate. As mayor I would like to initiate a youth soccer program which would reach out to involve more of our community's children.

It is my goal to provide at least two more storm shelters for our citizens.

It will be an honor for me to serve the citizens and businesses of Russellville as mayor. I will use my years of experience and leadership to ensure responsible spending while promoting an efficient and effective city government.

As mayor I will do whatever is necessary to secure funding and assist our school system in providing quality education.
