| The Suzuki T500 Titan was supposedly not possible. Pundits said that such a large 2-stroke twin would generate too much heat and engine seizures were inevitable. This Titan is exactly like the '71 model for which I traded my BSA 500. The purple color was kind of radical for the time but hey, I was just a "wild and crazy guy". A new Titan sold for about $800 in 1971. British twins of the era were selling for at least twice that and the "awesome" Honda CB750 was the bike to have.

I fitted my Titan with a fork-mounted fairing and luggage rack. I also up the countershaft sproket one tooth to lower RPMs at highway speeds. It made a decent lightweight tourer for the time.
