We visited Leiden and the Bollenstreek (bulb growing district) of Holland

I've lost track of the number of times I've been in this part of Holland, since 1984, but this is the first time I've seen the bulbs in bloom. They were spectacular!

It was rainy the morning we spent at Keukenhof, but that just kept the crowds down.

The flowers were perky as they could be.

What a beautiful park!

These were on display in a huge greenhouse. We spotted these from the car along side a road we have traveled many times. I just couldn't get over seeing these beauties in their natural setting.

The windmill in Leiden, called De Valk (falcon)

The glass house on the bridge is now an antique shop.

Getting ready to dig into these pannekoeken still being served on big blue and white plates.
