About Rebecca Jeffreys, flute teacher: Rebecca holds a music education degree from the Crane School of Music ( Potsdam, NY). She has over 25 years of teaching experience and has taught master classes around the United States. Her gentle style allows the student to flourish at his or her own pace. Adults welcomed. |

Individual attention for the beginner to professional player. Studies cover all aspects of playing. Ensemble playing encouraged, solo playing required. Attention to scales and technical ability with strong emphasis on musicality. Stage presence, music reading and all aspects will be covered. Move at your own pace, set your own goals. |

For the flutist participating in small ensembles, coaching provides positive feedback to encourage musical growth and ensemble playing skills. I can work with any combination of instruments as the focus will be on style, performance etiquette, communication, intonation, nuance and finer details of playing with others. |

Ensemble Coaching |

Masterclasses can be taught in two formats: To the flute section: discussion and demonstration of proper support, intonation, and other general subjects To the soloists: coaching with an audience on a particular repertoire work. Intended to improve the players overall performance of the music musically, mechanically and technically. |

An interesting and sometimes hysterical presentation demonstrating etiquette Do’s and Don’ts. Including discussion of bowing graciously, how to handle a mishap, stage presence and effective showmanship. |
