The Upton Historical Society is a private nonprofit organization funded by member’s dues and donations.  Formed in 1968 the mission statement of the Society is to preserve, to educate and to make available to the  public the history of Upton.

We are the caretakers of historic papers and artifacts donated by people who realize the importance of preserving Upton’s heritage.  We offer assistance to individuals, students, the press and organizations that are researching Upton’s history and families at no charge.

Our holdings encompass history of buildings which was done in 1996 by a grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission,   Town Reports dating from 1890 to the present; Assessor’s published records previously done prior to 1975; local histories and diaries, and many newspaper articles and photographs relating to Upton History.
